FAQ's
- Are you a member of any professional/trade bodies?
Yes: Heligan is a member of the Association of British Investigators
(ABI) and also the Credit Services Association (CSA)
- Do you need a licence to be an investigations
firm?
No: Not at the moment. However, the Security Industry Authority
(SIA) wishes to commence licensing as soon as possible although
licensing legislation was held up as of September 2006. Heligan
Investigations supports regulation of our industry and would
take its place proudly at the forefront of the regulated industry.
- Is surveillance evidence admissible in court?
Yes.
- Which areas of the country do you cover?
We cover the whole of Great Britain and Ireland and have
agents throughout Europe and the rest of the world.
- Do you have the ability to retrieve deleted electronic
information like text messages, phone and computer records?
Yes - we can access mobile phones, Blackberries, laptops
and PC's.
- Would my partner know they are under surveillance?
No, it is extremely unlikely any member of the public
unfamiliar with surveillance and/or military covert tactics
will know they are under surveillance. Remember, our staff
are drawn from a military and police background and have received
top level training within those institutions.
- Will anyone served with documents feel threatened
in any way?
No, absolutely not. Our staff completely understand the sometimes
delicate nature of serving legal documents. Whilst overwhelmingly
from military and police backgrounds our staff are normal,
sympathetic people - just trained in a slightly unusual line
of work! Heligan's staff are friendly and approachable whilst
remaining professional at all times. |
